The white river is on fire. We are catching large numbers of browns everyday. There are some shad coming through when the water flow is 5 generators or more. We have been getting the big push of water on weekdays and low water on weekends. I expect this pattern to continue as long as it stays cold. If the water is up and running you can catch some very good rainbows and browns at the dam on just about anything white. I fish a white jig and a 2' white cream worm.
If your fishing downstream several miles stay in front of the water with anything that resembles a minnow. I fish minnows almost every day. I normall fish on the rise but right now im staying in front of the water. The minnows have put 3 fish in our boats over 10lbs. in the last couple weeks.
