Fished the White River again today. The water was low all day as projected. I put in at the State ark and fished down to Gastons. I had Chris and Kurt Rone from the Kansas City area with me. Chris and Kurt have fished with me for years. They keep a running reservation for the Friday and Sunday before Presidents Day. We were fishing for Brown Trout only but we didnt gripe when we got a few rainbows. The low water and high pressure didnt help matters but we kept working and finished the day off strong. We put 19 brown trout and one really nice rainbow in the net. All fish were caught drifting a minnow even though the water was low.To drift in the low water I use a small and I mean very small split shot in place of the bell sinker that I normally use.
